What is a Knowledge Index, and why would an expert firm need one?

You are reading the public layer of Delphic's Knowledge Index. It is a client-owned strategic asset organised around the important questions an expert firm can answer, rather than a library of pages or topics. Each question represents demand for some part of the firm's expertise. The Index gives approved authority a public form, provides a question-level basis for observing how AI treats the firm and builds useful intelligence about where that authority deserves attention. Protected knowledge can remain private throughout.

Authority organised around buyer questions

Most websites are organised around the firm: its services, people, sectors and publications. A Knowledge Index is organised around the questions that matter to buyers. That shift makes the firm's authority easier to understand at the level at which it is actually sought.

Each of those questions is an expression of demand for some part of the firm's expertise. The Index connects that demand to the authority the firm can credibly provide, without assuming that the valuable answer itself should be public.

This page is part of Delphic's own public Index. Each Answer Object represents a question Delphic can address at an approved disclosure boundary. The private asset can represent more than the website reveals; publication remains a separate decision.

A strategic asset, not a content archive

Question-level structure gives a firm a more useful unit than traffic to an undifferentiated page. Traffic and live behaviour show which questions attract attention. AI measurement shows where the firm's knowledge is found and credited. Together, those signals can reveal where authority deserves further investment.

The commercial point is ownership. The client owns the Index, controls disclosure and retains a durable record of the questions its expertise can credibly address. Delphic builds and manages the instrument, but does not turn the firm's paid knowledge into public inventory.

Public proof without publishing the product

Some questions can be answered openly. Others should only establish that the firm holds relevant knowledge and provide a route to greater depth. The right public boundary depends on the knowledge and the buyer question, not a blanket instruction to publish more.
